Parents’
Association
The Parents Association (PA) plays an important role in the Malvern Valley Primary School community, bringing together parents, teachers, and members of the wider community to strengthen connections and build a sense of belonging.
The PA supports the school through a range of initiatives and events, such as:
- School discos and social events
- Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls
- The school fete
- Community gatherings and family events
- Fundraising activities to support school programs and resources
- Supporting events and celebrations across the year
- Supporting the Breakfast Club program
There are many ways to get involved, whether you have a small amount of time or are looking to take on a more active role. Being part of the PA is a great way to meet other families, feel connected to the school, and contribute to the community.
Friends of Malvern Valley
Friends of Malvern Valley (FOMV) is an initiative run by the MVPS Parents Association and open to all members of the MVPS community. It is designed to provide practical support to families who may need a little extra help from time to time.
This support may include meals, second-hand uniforms, or help with pick-ups and drop-offs. Any family seeking support can make a confidential request by contacting MVPS Principal Amy Tinetti or emailing FOMV directly at fomv@outlook.com.au
FOMV is also seeking additional volunteers to join its support network. If you have the capacity to help, please email fomv@outlook.com.au and let us know the type of support you may be able to provide.
Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme
MVPS is now registered to receive donations through Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme. Together we can make a positive difference to our environment and our school community. We encourage all MVPS Families to return eligible bottles/cans to the Oakleigh Return-It-Depot (Oxford St, Oakleigh).
Once your donations have been fed through the machine click on ENTER SCHEME ID and scan our school barcode (see below), and your donation will be made to the school. Keep your receipt and give it to your teacher and the winning class at the end of each term will receive a class prize!
To check eligibility of containers just look for the 10c mark or visit cdsvic.org.au
