Malvern Valley Primary School 2018 Carnival

Malvern Valley Primary School is once again excited to host our School Carnival on Saturday 20th October 2018, 11am-4pm.

Our school vision is to “create confident children with choices for their future”. The proceeds from this year’s carnival will fundamentally support this vision by providing program and resource support to the School’s STEM Education program. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

We invite all members of the community from Malvern East and surrounding suburbs to join this fun day out. The carnival will feature an array of exciting activities and stalls with an emphasis on bringing the community together. On the program will include:

  • Rides suitable for all ages
  • An escape room experience
  • Various food outlets
  • All day entertainment on our main stage
  • Craft and bake stalls
  • SideShow Alley
  • Dunking Booth
  • FacePainting
  • … and more!

Early-bird tickets are available until midnight October 16, and can be purchased in advance by clicking on the image.

On the day, the following ticket and ride options will be available at these prices:

  • Unlimited Ride Band $35
  • Junior Unlimited Ride Band $15
  • 25 ticket bulk buy $60
  • Individual tickets $2.50

They will be available at carnival via cash or EFTPOS.

Note that all stalls and rides will be using tickets (not cash) for purchases, and we therefore we encourage all families to purchase some prior to the carnival.

Silent Auction

Go to and check out the amazing range of products and services that you can bid on. We are grateful to so many businesses and families within our community who have donated these items. Even if you can’t make it to the carnival on the day, you can bid on these items.

Sustainability in Action

We’re proud that this year’s carnival will be completely plastic disposable bottle free in support of our School’s focus on implementing environmentally friendly policies.

Robogals was established to encourage girls from primary to secondary school to explore an interest, as well as cultivate self-confidence, in Engineering and Technology. Did you know that women make up 28% of the STEM workforce in Australia, with only 14% in engineering?

Though the Robogal sessions are usually targeted at 11-16year olds in one hour sessions, they have agreed to run 30 minute mini-intensive sessions for all primary aged boys and girls. Kids will work in small groups to program robots and then see their work in action!
