Inspiration comes in many forms, and for our grade 5/6 this term, it came from Dr Nicole Bond, a forensic scientist with Victoria Police. As part of their inquiry unit, the students are exploring the various ways in which Science has changed our lives. Dr. Nicole gave a fantastic presentation about her work with the police force, and how scientific advances in forensics have enabled the Police to not just solve more cases, but also solve them with a greater certainty than they were able to previously. We have every faith that the face to face learning our students have been doing these past two terms will springboard them into screen time learning. We have all our fingers crossed that this lockdown period will be over by the end of next week and we can open the gates to you all again soon. ... See MoreSee Less

Thanks to our amazing teachers and other staff ♥️

With leadership comes mentorship, and today some of our MVPS leaders got to mentor kindergarten children from Early Years @ Phoenix Park by reading books, playing games, chatting, and playing outside with the kinder kids. This shared experience fosters self-awareness, empathy and confidence in our older students, whose mere presence and interaction develops positive mindsets towards school readiness and motivation to learn in the younger children. We value the strong relationship we have with the kindergarten to be able to offer these opportunities to our students. ... See MoreSee Less
